Project management platform for the entire project lifecycle
The web-based project management platform covers the entire project lifecycle in one application. The client's methodology was translated into a custom solution with structured processes, documents, tools and portfolio reporting.
Starting point
A generic task board could not have represented the depth of the project management methodology. The platform had to cover initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control, and closure. Processes and documents remain connected throughout.
The challenge was to structure extensive project management logic so that it remains understandable in day-to-day use while supporting different projects and portfolios.
Solution
- Project lifecycle: Five process groups from initiation to closure form the functional foundation.
- Processes and documents: More than 100 standardized processes and documents are interconnected and can be used directly within a project.
- Methods toolkit: More than 130 tools and methods support analysis, planning, control and quality assurance.
- Filament backend: Master data, roles and permissions managed through a backend that internal staff can use without days of training.
- Roles and views: Different views for management, delivery teams and stakeholders, with permissions for each role.
- Portfolio reporting: Dashboards show progress, target achievement, budgets, resources, risks and required action based on current project data.
- Operations: Separate environments, automated deployments and backups with tested recovery.

Result
The platform brings the entire project lifecycle together in one web application. Process groups, processes, documents, tools and portfolio reporting work together on the same data foundation. Project teams work operationally in the system, while decision-makers use dashboards to monitor progress, risks, budgets and required action.
